Here a few thoughts in advance of tonight's episode of Lost.
1) In the alternate world, Hurley says he is the luckiest guy in the world, the exact opposite of the character we have come to know and love. It's probably safe to assume that Hurley did not win the lottery (something that has happened in both realities) by using the now famous numbers (The NUMBERS are BAAAD!). So, how did he in the lottery. Is there some other bunch of happenstance forcing people together regardless of the reality they live in?
2) I don't think the Man in Black/FLocke/The Nemesis is the smoke monster. He never said he was. In the scene where the smoke monster enters the chamber in the foot of the statue, the Nemesis ducked behind a pillar. The smoke monster then comes roaring in through a door and messes with the room, then it goes away, and back from behind the pillar comes our non-Johnny Cash Man in Black. When Ben says "You;re the monster" he never confirms it, he just says he doesn't care for the name.
3) I think Miles knows a lot more than he is saying right now. A lifetime of being a squirrel means Miles knows his only advantage is keeping whatever he knows to himself.
